Chronic illness is so underrated. I’ve been away from writing here dealing with my child’s chronic illness for the past year. Little did I know it would be a year of on-the-job in-my-life “training” for me. She’s ok now. We’re moving on. Now, in the spirit of the season, I’m struck by what life has brought into our lives. Compassionate, empathetic, talented people who have helped us get through this 4-year long challenge. I’m so very thankful for all you. From the doctors, nurses, professionals, friends, family and complete strangers who gave us a helping hand in all of those completely frustrating and somewhat fearful moments. I’m left feeling relieved and renewed…and intensely aware of the fine balance and connectivity of life, work, health, play and happiness.
This experience has continued to flame an interest in the power of vulnerability in visual, learning and interactive design. In the upcoming months, please look for posts related this. Until then, may the spirit of the season help you share yourself whole-heartedly.
